For this Tierra Verde new residence, I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to aid my clients in all elements of design:

- Lighting placement and selection
- Interior finishes - details and custom built items
- Exterior colors and finishes (including pavers style, color and placement orientation)
- Acted as project manager for the Owner, inclduing daily contact with the Builder’s Project Manager
- Scheduled and supervised installations
- Budgeting

FINDING THE PERFECT PIECE
We used a combination of tiles and slate on the fireplace. We needed just the right mantle piece, and nothing I found commercially available seemed just right. After speaking with an employee at a lumber yard and asking just the right questions, I discovered that they had a piece of Pecky Cypress abandoned and covered with spider webs. It had the exact color tone and natural feel we were looking for. The client is thrilled with this rare find!

A NOTE FROM THE HOME OWNER...

Dear Bethsabé, Anne and I wanted to send you a letter thanking you for all your help in making our dream house a reality. Without your foresight, guidance, ideas and expertise, the whole process of building a custom home from scratch would have been at the least downright frustrating - and at the worst disastrous. When we decided to pursue this dream, I knew from past experience that we would need someone of your caliber to help guide us. Neither one of us had the time or skill to handle the thousands of small details that are required. I asked Anne to find someone that she thought she could work well with, who also shared her ideas of what she wanted. Lucky for me - she found you! The employment of your services from the start was, in our opinion, critical to the success of the whole project. Although we had a great builder in Anglo and they have fine staff that could help us in selections, etc., neither of us were comfortable with placing everything in their hands. Your take-charge style was well worth it. Just a few examples that come to mind are your ideas for the fireplace, wrought iron banisters, all the wonderful lighting and lighting fixtures, your help in paint selections, window treatments (love the Lutron Shades), furniture, closet spaces, kitchen cabinets and appliances, bathroom tiles and fixtures, outside lighting, pool area, the wonderful stone collage etc - You get the idea - pretty much everything! I think the fact that we are all still friends (architect, builder, designer, homeowners) and that Anne and I are still happily married speaks volumes of how this house turned out! With your help we created a home that fits our family and lifestyle perfectly, and someplace that we are extremely proud of. Thanks again for everything!
